This is body given for you…

This is my blood poured out for you...

Do this in remembrance of me.

About Us

We are a gathered group of young people in Melbourne, aged more or less between 18 and 35 years, who value and love the traditions of the Anglican Church as lived in the various and different parishes in which we have our belonging.

The Eucharist is at the heart of our lives and of how we worship our God. We don’t believe that the Eucharist is a random, chance event given by Jesus for us just to have something to do on Sundays!, No, the Eucharist is the sacred meal commanded by our Lord on the night before he died. He gave it to the Church not only to commemorate his saving death, but also for us to live now in the hope of sharing in his glorious resurrection to eternal life.

The Eucharist is something we want to celebrate every Sunday, and some parishes are also fortunate enough for it to be offered every day. It’s not a burden or a mere ritual we just have to do, but is the best and highest expression of worship we can offer to the Father in love and obedience through his Son, Jesus Christ. His Spirit unites us with each other in this act of worship and it empowers us to be a people of loving service to all people in daily encounters that make up our ordinary lives.

The Eucharist is a participation in Jesus Christ in a unique and particular way, that is in a ‘sacramental’ way.  A sacrament is a sign and symbol of that which it points toward. Bread broken and wine out poured in thanksgiving to God point us to Jesus Christ: to his life, his teaching and to his people gathered as the church. The Eucharist is therefore our communion with the very body and blood of Jesus Christ who unites us to his Spirit and with each other in this sacred meal.

Some of us are Anglo-Catholics, and some of us are liturgical Evangelicals, and others of us are just ordinary Anglicans faithful to the people and traditions that make up our own parish communities.

We meet to offer the Eucharist, to share the stories of our faith journey and to celebrate our gift of faith life with a fellowship meal.
